The Graduate, REALTOR ®Institute (GRI) Designation signifies that a Residential Specialist has obtained a professional educational foundation on which to base the services provided. Only members of a REALTOR ®organization may earn the GRI Designation. The graduate must be a member of the local, State and National Association of REALTORS ®.

This Designation is awarded after the candidate completes extensive classroom instruction and comprehensive testing, covering subjects such as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction.

Agents completing the program learn the fundamentals of brokerage and other areas of real estate specialization, allowing them to better serve prospective clients and customers. Agents are also educated about local, state and national real estate practices that affect them, their clients and customers.
